My Story

Ms. Kimberly Ward is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia, New York, and New Jersey. Ms. Ward has a background working in child welfare. Also, Ms. Ward has provided individual and family therapy in the school setting and at various mental health agencies. She is a 2005 graduate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work. Throughout Ms. Ward's career, she has been extremely passionate about providing services to children, adolescents, and adults as a Social Worker. Ms. Ward specializes in working with individuals who are diagnosed with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and loss and grief.

 

Ms. Ward does work from models of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT, Strengths Based, REBT, EMDR, Solution Focused, Brainspotting, and Problem Solving. Ms. Ward also utilizes play therapy and mindfulness as other forms of intervention in working with clients. Ms. Ward is an approved supervisor through the Maryland Board of Social Work to provide supervision for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), a 2020 Association for Play Therapy Leadership Academy Graduate, an EMDR Certified Therapist, a Prepare/ENRICH Facilitator, a Certified Brainspotting Therapist, an official Notary, a MD/DC Association for Play Therapist Board Member as a Membership Advocate and is a Certified Reiki Master.
